Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to include the petitioner's name in the panel for the post of Superintendent on the basis of the seniority list prepared by the second respondent as early as on 28.09.2016 without referring to the date of passing of the accounts test I. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the name of the petitioner was included in the seniority list for promotion, she was not considered for promotion. In this regard, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 12.09.2018. As the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking appropriate relief.

2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 12.09.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
