PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records connected with the impugned order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent in Na.Ka.No.C3/D.O./106/2024 dated 24.12.2024 and quash the same, consequently, directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's son Ramesh, S/o.Ganesan, aged about 43 years, detained in the Central Prison, Cuddalore, before this Court and set him at liberty. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.478, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 31.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.
2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
