O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the appeal memorandum submitted by the petitioner on 07.12.2022 and to deal with the same in accordance with law and pass orders within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she joined as a daily wager in the year 1999 in the Pudukottai District Revenue Departmental Employees Co-operative Thrift and Credit Society. The services of the petitioner was also regularized from the year 2001 by the Regional Joint Registrar by proceedings dated 22.12.2006. She was also conferred with the benefit of regular employee. Due to some administrative exigencies, she was transferred as a clerk to another society since the existing Society became defunct. The petitioner was also discharging her duties till November 2022.

3. The further case of the petitioner is that an order came to be passed winding up the Society where the petitioner was working and the petitioner was discharged from service on the ground that she has been 2/5

rendered surplus. The said event took place by virtue of the order passed by the second respondent on 16.11.2022.

4. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted an appeal memorandum before the first respondent on 07.12.2022 and since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

5. Heard Mr.V.Dinesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents.

6. Taking into consideration the limited relief sought for in this writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
