This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to return the petitioner's auto bearing Registration No.TN-02-AM-5303, which is kept under the illegal custody of the respondent.
2.When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the auto in question had not been seized by the respondent police as alleged. He further stated that an abandoned auto which was found at 100 ft.Road in Arumbakkam, has been seized by the police authorities and kept in their custody and that if the petitioner is able to produce the original records of the said auto, the same shall be released.
3.Recording the above statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
closed. It is for the petitioner to approach the respondent police for necessary relief.
