ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.Sathish Kumar J.) This Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of time for depositing a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-, as directed by this Court by order dated 01.12.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already obtained a Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-,

however, the same could not be deposited as the order extending time has not been passed by this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that there is no serious objection to extending time for deposit of the conditional amount.

4. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition and also taking into consideration the fact that the Demand Draft has already been obtained by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant extension of time.

5. Hence, the petitioner is directed to deposit the conditional amount of Rs.10,00,000/- to the credit of O.S.No.2870 of 2019 on the file of the XIX Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. Upon such deposit, the amount shall be kept in a nationalised bank. In the event of the petitioner filing any application seeking return of the said amount, the same shall be considered by the Court concerned, in accordance with law, for return of the amount to the respondent/plaintiff.
