Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of habeas corpus to to direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenu, namely, Anthony, S/o.Ravikumar, aged 26 years, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent before this Hon'ble court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(DELIVERED BY DR. S.VIMALA, J.) This petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, seeking direction to the respondents to find out the whereabouts of her husband, namely, Anthony, S/o.Ravikumar, aged 26 years.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the detenu is an accused in five(5) cases, including, a case registered in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Cr.No.582 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 341, 307, r/w. 3(i) of TNPPLD Act. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the detenu has been produced before the 13th Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, and remanded to judicial custody on 18.07.2018 and now, he is in confinement at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.
