PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent pertaining to the order made in BCDFGISSSV No.668/2023 dated 16.12.2023, in detaining the detenu under Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a GOONDA and quash the same and to direct the 4th respondent to produce the detenu Thiru.Muppidathi Muthu, S/o.Nainar, Male, aged about 46 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.590, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 31.01.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
