The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(i), 4(1)(aa) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Amendment Act in Crime No.305 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 336 bottles of liquor bottles ( each containing 180 ml). Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, apart from this case, petitioner has 17 previous case.
5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner and if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, there is a likelihood that the petitioner would involve in similar offence, hence this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
