ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission and give police protection to conduct Cock Fight event during Pongal Festival on 17.01.2019 between 09.00 am and 06.00 pm, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2019. 2.

The relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court since the representation itself has been given on 09.01.2019 and the same has been sent by way of post to the 2nd respondent. Therefore, without any instructions from the side of the respondent police, no direction can be issued by this Court.

It is left open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondent police in person, seeking for permission to conduct the Cock Fight during the Pongal festival. It is left open to the respondent police to take a decision on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. 4.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
