Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to proceed with selection to the post of Assistant Professor in English in pursuant to the Notification issued by the fourth respondent Teacher Recruitment Board dated 28.05.2013 as per UGC Regulations 2009 to be implemented based on the directives of Central Government and as per the ratio laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in orders of SLP (CIVIL) Nos.36023 to 36032 of 2015 dated 16.03.2015 and consequently select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Assistant professor in English on that basis, based on the merits in the selection.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to proceed with the selection to the post of Assistant Professor in English, in pursuant to the Notification issued by the fourth respondent/Teacher Recruitment Board, dated 28.05.2013 as per UGC Regulations, 2009 to be implemented based on the directives of Central Government and as per the ratio laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the order passed in SLP (Civil) Nos. 36023 to 36032 of 2015, dated 16.03.2015 and consequently to select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Assistant professor in English on that basis, based on merits in the selection.
2. The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that, subsequent to the impugned Notification, there were five notifications issued for recruitment. Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.
3. Recording the above submission of the learned counsel for the second respondent, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs. 29.09.2023 Index:Yes/No kv To
