Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to take effective steps in implementing the orders passed by the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 in P.G.No.15 of 2019 dated 16.03.2021 and intiate the Recovery proceedings against the second respondent under the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act that was transferred to him by the Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram District vide O.M16099/2022/U2 dated 07.04.2022.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to take effective steps for implementing the orders passed by the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 in P.G.No.15 of 2019 dated 16.03.2021 and initiate the Recovery proceedings against the second respondent under the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act. 2.
Learned counsel for the second respondent has earlier submitted that the second respondent will deposit an amount of Rs.2,61,335/- before the Deputy Commissioner of Labour (interest amount) on or before 06.06.2024. 3.
Today, the learned counsel for the second respondent has filed photo copy of demand draft dated 09.05.2024 to show that an amount of Rs.2,61,335/- drawn on Axis Bank was deposited before the Deputy Page No.2 of 4
Commissioner of Labour, Chennai to the credit of P.G.No.15 of 2019 in reference to W.P.No.1822 of 2024. In view of the same, since the second respondent has already paid the entire amount this petition has become infructuous.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that while closing this matter cost may be imposed on the second respondent. However, considering the fact that the second respondent has deposited the principal as well as the interest amount as directed. This Court is of the opinion that there is not need to impose cost.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
