The prayer sought for in the revision petition is to set aside the order made in R.C.A.No.1 of 2014 on the file of the Rent Control Appellate Authority, learned Sub-Judge, Ponneri, Tiruvallur District dated 07.02.2018.
2. The respondent is a landlord and the revision petitioner is the tenant. The respondent filed a petition in R.C.O.P.No.38 of 2009 on the file of the learned Rent Controller/District Munsif, Thiruvottiyr, Thiruvallur District. After enquiry, the order of eviction was ordered by the learned Rent Controller.
3. Aggrieved against the order dated 18.01.2013, the petitioner/tenant filed an appeal in R.C.A. No.1 of 2014 on the file of the Rent Control Appellate Authority/Sub-Judge, Ponneri, Thiruvallur District. After hearing the arguments of counsel on either side, the Rent Control Appellate Authority dismissed the application in R.C.A.No.1 of 2014 by confirming the order of the learned Rent Controller/District Munsif, Thiruvottiyur in R.C.O.P.No.38 of 2009.
4. Aggrieved against the order passed by the Rent Control Appellate Authority dated 07.02.2018, the revision petitioner/tenant is before this Court with this present Civil revision petition.
5. When the matter was taken up on 06.06.2018, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner undertakes to file an affidavit to
vacate the premises within a period of six months and this Court has granted the said time and adjourned the case to the future date.
6. Today, when the matter is called, the learned counsel for the petitioner has filed an affidavit dated 13.06.2018 as stated above. In view of the affidavit filed by the revision petitioner, the revision petitioner/tenant is directed to vacate the premises in question and hand over the same to the respondent/ landlord within a period of six months from today.
7. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
