Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant priority to the petitioner appoint as a Helper in Integrated Child Health Centre, Kuttakarai Village, Tiruvannamalai District by considering petitioner's 2 years of service working as a Helper in the same centre pursuant to the interview held by the respondent 24.01.2018.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by Mrs.R.Nathiya seeking a mandamus to the respondent to consider her case on priority basis while filling up of the post of Helper in the Integrated Child Health Centre, Kuttakarai village, Tiruvannamalai District by considering the two years of service rendered by her as Helper in the same centre pursuant to the interview held on 14.9.2017.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a married woman with two children and also belongs to Scheduled Tribe community. She has also studied upto 9th Standard and her husband is doing coolie work. The petitioner was also rendering her assistance in the centre at Kuttakarai village without remuneration for the past two years, because her matrimonal grandmother Mrs.Chinnakanni was doing the above work and the petitioner assisted her. got more experience and exposure in comparison with the other persons who had attended the interview. When the petitioner, on seeing the notification issued by the respondent in July, 2017 inviting applications from the eligible candidates, applied for the said post, she was also invited for the interview by a communication dated 5.9.2017 and she also attended the interview on 14.9.2017 at the office of the Child Development Programme Officer, Jawathumalai Post, Tiruvannamalai District. But till date, even after a lapse of eight months from the date of holding the interview, the results thereof have not been published. Therefore, a direction be issued to the respondent to consider her two years experience, he pleaded.

3. But this Court is unable to find any merit in the writ petition. The reason is that when the petitioner claims that she rendered service for two years in the centre in question, no record or certificate or any document issued by the competent authority is enclosed in the typedset of papers. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
