PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on petitioner representation dated 20.12.2022 to grant police protection during the Thai Poosam festival on 01.02.2023 taking the statue

of Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi as rally from Kathirimalai to Erode and again to reach to Kathirimalai temple.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2022 to grant police protection during the Thai Poosam festival on 01.02.2023 taking the statue of Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi as rally from Kathirimalai to Erode and again to reach Kathirimalai temple.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that "Thai Poosam Festival" is scheduled on 01.02.2023 at Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi Temple with a rally from Kathrimalai to Erode and again to Kathrimalai Temple. The respondents 3 to 5 are obstructing the conduct of festival. Therefore, this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner gave a representation on 20.12.2022 which is pending consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

5. In the light of submission made by learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2022 in the manner known to law and pass appropriate orders.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
