Mr.R.U.Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent. With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioners have made an application to the respondent on 20.01.2023, seeking for issuance of Patta in their favour in respect of the properties in S.Nos.66, 555, 557, 785, 786, 788 situated at Keelmottur Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District. Since there was no response from Pg.Nos.2/5
the respondent till date, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the prevailing practice regarding submission of application seeking issuance of Patta as on date is only through online by paying requisite fees vide e-challan. In the present case on hand, the petitioners have not made the application through online. The learned Additional Government Pleader further submitted that if the petitioners submits an application through online by paying requisite fees, the same will be considered by the respondent.

Therefore, the petitioners are directed to submit an application through online by paying requisite fees through e-challan, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as rival claimants/interested parties, if any, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the online application.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Pg.Nos.3/5
6. W.M.P.No.1832 of 2024 is ordered on payment of separate Court fees by each of the petitioners.
