The Petitioner/Accused in Crime No.137 of 2023 registered by the Respondent Police for the offences under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) and 4(1)(g) of TN Prohibition Act, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the Respondent found that the Petitioner was in possession of 125 litres of illicit arrack and 6800 litres of fermented wash.

3. The learned counsel for the Petitioner stated that the Petitioner is an innocent person and was not aware of the registration of the First Information Report.

4. But however taking the seized quantity of the arrack and the fermented wash into consideration, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner herein.
