ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the Writ Petition in W.P.No.40234 of 2016, by order dated 18.11.2016, directed the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass an appropriate order, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks. 2.Alleging non-compliance of the said order dated 18.11.2016, the present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent.

4.But, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that considering the representation of the petitioner, the respondent has given backwages to the petitioner; but, so far no pensionery benefits were granted to the petitioner.

5.However, the learned Government Advocate submitted that with regard to the payment of pension to the petitioner, the respondent has already sent a proposal to the Office of the Accountant General.

6.In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, since the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent, the contempt petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy with regard to payment of pension before the appropriate authority, if he is so advised.
