PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records relating to the petitioner's son's detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 09.12.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings D.O.No.66/2024-C2, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's son namely Ashwin, S/o.Sridhar, aged 22 years, before this Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's son detained at Central Prison, Salem.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.350, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 24.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
