This Court, while disposing of the writ appeal by judgment dated 22.09.2021 had directed the Principal Labour Court, Coimbatore to dispose of the case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. Subsequently, extension of time was granted twice by orders dated 19.07.2022 and 08.12.2022 and in the order dated 08.12.2022, the Presiding Officer, Principal Labour Court, Coimbatore was given time till 28.02.2023 to dispose of the matter on a day-today basis without adjourning the same beyond five working days at any point of time . 2.

Now, the Registry has received a communication dated 28.02.2023 from the Principal Labour Court, Coimbatore seeking further time. In the said letter, it has been stated that majority of the workers have migrated from Coimbatore and tracing them has become an herculean task and that the present Presiding Officer is holding additional charge since S. October, 2022. Hence, request is made to extend the time to comply with the direction of this Court.
