O R D E R

Pursuant to the order of this Court, dated 14.3.2019, it is stated that TANGEDCO had issued proceedings, dated 16.11.2019 whereby it is claimed that the petitioner has been placed immediately above his Junior in the panel, which aspect is disputed by the counsel appearing for the petitioner. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in connection to the said proceedings, the respondents have also sought for an option for fixation of pay from the petitioner and in his representation, dated 15.4.2021, he had also given his option for ''fixation of pay at the next higher stage on the date of promotion and for re-fixation of pay under Regulation 33 (b) of Tamilnadu Electricity Service Regulations on the date of accrual of increment in the lower post''.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to consider his representation, dated 15.4.2021 wherein he has claimed his option and for such consideration he is not pressing the contempt petition for the present.

3. In the light of the submission made by the counsel appearing for the petitioner, the contempt petition stands closed with a direction to the Superintending Engineer, Kancheepuram Electricity Distribution Circle, Kancheepuram to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 15.4.2021 and pass 2/3

orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
