ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.12.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 120-B and 420 of IPC in Crime No.5 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner has induced

some of the Women's welfare groups to invest towards the Trust run by the petitioner in the name and style of Mother Therasa Women's Charitable Trust, had collected a total sum of Rs.26.96 lakhs and subsequently revealed that she has also fabricated some Bank documents and involved in forgery. Hence, a case has been registered and the petitioner who is person involved in Crime No.2 of 2025 on the file of the CBCID, OCU Coimbatore was arrested in this case by the respondent on 08.12.2025.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner being a lady is in incarceration and she is ranked as A7 in this case. He further submitted that already one of the accused who is ranked as A5 has been granted bail by this Court on 27.11.2025.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reiterated the case of the prosecution and submitted that while granting bail to the A5 in this case, case was under investigation and the cheated amount was only Rs.7 lakhs. Hence, bail was granted considering the over tact attributed against her. Whereas this petitioner is concerned, the petitioner is the main accused who was running the Trust and who induced the other victims to invest money to the total sum of Rs.26.96 lakhs. The Petitioner alone is benefited Rs.20 lakhs from the same. He further submitted that the petitioner is having three previous cases of similar in nature in Thirunelveli, Thiruppur and in Coimbatore and further submitted

that if bail is granted there is likelihood of hampering the investigation process.

I have gone through the records and connected materials and it reveals that the petitioner is the main accused who started the Public Trust and after opening Charitable Trust, made false promise to the women's welfare groups for securing loan with low interest. After collecting the money, she prepared forgery documents and cheated various persons. Considering the fact that she has not only cheated the women's welfare groups but also involved in fabrication of forgery documents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
