Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records relating to the resolution dated 26.04.2012 passed by the Board of Trustees of T. Thomas Educational Trust represented by its Chairman, Perambur, Chennai - 11, the fourth respondent herein with respect to that portion of the order in promoting the sixth respondent as the Vice-Principal of St. Mary's Matriculation Boys Higher Secondary School, Chennai - 600 011 with effect from 01.06.2012 and quash the same and consequently direct the fourth respondent board to consider, promote and appoint eligible teachers working under the management of the fourth respondent board including the petitioner herein to the post of Vice-Principal purely on merits and ability and within such time as may be prescribed by this Court.

2.In these circumstances, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. However, it is open to the Legal Representatives of the deceased petitioner to take appropriate steps for restoration of the writ petition if they so desire. No order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
