Mr.R.Prathap Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor Mr.S.Uday Shankar (for the detenue) Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Habeas Corpus seeking direction to the respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter namely Vijayalakshmi 19 years before this Honourable Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

(Order made by Dr.S.VIMALA, J.) This petition is filed by the father of the detenue seeking a direction to the respondent to produce his daughter viz., Vijayalakshmi aged 19 years before this Court.

2. The detenue was produced by the respondent police on 23.07.2018. As there were exchange of views between the parents and the daughter, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the detenue needs counselling. The detenue as well as the alleged husband of the detenue were sent for counselling for two days and the detenue was ordered to remain at Abaya Illam, Kutchery Road, Mylapore, Chennai, where she was offered to psychological counselling. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. After the counselling, the detenue is produced today before the Court. The detenue has submitted that counselling was given to her and even after counselling, she has expressed that she wants to go with her husband. Recording the same, this H.C.P. is closed.
