JUDGMENT
When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant submitted a letter dated 19.01.2020, addressed to him by the appellant/Life Insurance Corporation of India, which is extracted hereunder; "In deference to the suggestions made by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras to comply with the orders of the Hon'ble Additional District Munsif Court, Vellore, we are happy to inform you that the Competent Authority has approved the payment of Sum Assured with interest from 27.06.1994 (date of suit) till 20.01.2020.
Once the nominee-plaintiff submits the requirements as per rules with our branch office, the claim will be settled.

2.In view of the above, this Second Appeal stands disposed of and the appellant is directed to comply with the commitment as conveyed in their letter dated 19.01.2020, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
