ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, to call for the records in connection with the Gingee Police FIR in Crime No.617 of 2006, Villupuram SC/ST POA case No.1 of 2015, pending investigation on the file of the Inspector of Police, Gingee Police Station, Villupuram District, quash the same. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. There is no representation for the petitioner. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that, in this case, there are ten witnesses, the trial has also commenced, PW1 has been cross-examined and the case now stands posted today i.e., on 03.03.2022 for cross-examination of PW2.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first and second respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. In view of the fact that the trial has been commenced, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings. The petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.617 of 2006 at this stage is not maintainable.

5. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
