The Government Of Tamilnadu v. Ezhilbharathi

2021-01-25Honourable The Chief Justice,Honourable Mr Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy1 pages

C.M.P.Nos.3514 and 3516 of 2020 in W.A.Nos. SR 6570 and 6571 of THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.

Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel for the respondent, opposes these applications seeking condonation of delay by citing delay at every stage, including at the stage of issuing the charge memo. He further submits that the delay has not been duly explained.

Upon perusal of the affidavits filed in support of the applications, it is seen that administrative reasons have been cited for delay. We also find that the appeals are against the quashing of a charge memo.

Accordingly, the delay is condoned both on account of the reasons cited and keeping in view the importance of the issues raised in these appeals.

The appeals shall be treated to be within time; be given the regular numbers; and listed in the usual course.
