2012 and quash the same and direct the Respondents herein to promote the Junior Engineer Grade-II to the post of Junior Engineers Grade-I on the basis of the ratio 2:3 (Assistant Engineers/ Electrical: Junior Engineers Grade-I/ Electrical) in Distribution Sections and in the ratio or 2:2:1 in other areas and direct the 1st Respondent not to directly recruit Assistant Engineers/ Electrical any further, without first restoring the aforesaid ratio and in any event without honouring the assurances recorded in M.P.No.1 of 2008 in W.P.No.18012 of 2008 pronounced on 22.10.2008 and issue such further orders.

ORDER

Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous and no further adjudication needs to be made.

2. In the light of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
