Appeal preferred under Clause XV of Letters Patent against the order dated 28.01.2013 made in W.P.No.26167 of 2012. Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to regularize the service of the petitioner as Lecturer in the Philosophy Department, Commerce Department, English Department, Tamil Department, Tamil Department and Sanskrit Department in Pachaiyappas College, Chennai w.e.f.13.08.98, 21.06.2004, 09.12.2003 , 10.07.2002, 08.07.02 and 06.07.2001 respectively the date of their joining the college in terms of the direction of the Honourable Supreme court of India in para 53 of the judgment rendered in State of Karnataka Vs Uma Devi reported in 2006 4 SCC page 1 followed by the Judgment rendered by the Honourable Division bench of this Honourable court in W.P.No.16402 of 2004 Batch and for other consequential relief. JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ appeal is directed against the order dated 28.01.2013 made in W.P.No.26167 of 2012.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the appellant submits that the issue involved in the writ appeal has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the appellant, the writ appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
