Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Declaration, declaring the section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporations Town and Country Planning Laws (Amendment) Act, 2002 by introducing new Section 283-A in Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981 and the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporations (Regulation of unauthorized and deviated development and construction of building) Rules, 2002 as illegal, ultra-vires of the Constitution, unenforceable and struck down the same insofar as the members of the Petitioner sangam are concerned.
