PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for a direction to the Family Court at Puducherry to dispose HMOP No.510 of 2021, within the time stipulated. For Petitioner : Mr.D.Senthil Kumar

O R D E R

The civil revision petition is filed for a direction to the Family Court at Puducherry to dispose HMOP No.510 of 2021, within the time stipulated.

2. The petitioner originally filed the above HMOP in the year 2018 before the Principal Sub Court at Cuddalore seeking to declare the alleged registered marriage deed dated 13.04.2012 as not valid and voidable. Thereafter, the case was transferred to Family Court at Puducherry and renumbered as HMOP No.510 of 2021. Now, the case is pending from the year 2021. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present civil revision petition seeking to dispose of HMOP No.510 of 2021 within a time frame.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been argued by both sides and posted for orders. Now the matter is pending since an application has been filed to reopen and recall. Hence, he seeks for direction to the trial court to dispose the case within the time frame.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

5. Pursuant to the direction of this Court, the Registry, on verification through e-filing, has reported that the total pendency of the Family Court at Puducherry, is 717 cases.

6. Considering the total pending of the cases and taking into account the nature of the case, pending at this stage, the Family Court at Puducherry is directed to dispose of HMOP No.510 of 2021, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
