..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2025 in accordance with the law, by registering and releasing the pending document viz., P.Neelangarai/ 340/ 2025 and P/ Neelangarai/ 341/ 2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

Asserting that the petitioner purchased the property described in paragraph 3 of the affidavit from one R.Ravikumar and presented the same for registration on 05.11.2025, but the document has not been registered till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3. He submits that a protest petition has been lodged by the fourth respondent. He also submits that the said protest petition would be decided in terms of Rule 55 of the Registration Rules after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the fourth respondent.

3. In view of the above submissions, it is unnecessary to issue notice to the fourth respondent in this writ petition. Instead, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request for registration after adjudicating the protest petition of the fourth respondent in accordance with law. This action shall be taken within thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the fourth respondent. There will be no order as to costs.
