Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 1st respondent dated 14.07.2015 in proceedings Memo No.540/BCDFGISSSV/2015 and set aside the same and produce the detenu named Anand, son of Palani, aged about 25 years now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH J.) The petitioner, who is the detenu herein, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the first respondent dated 14.07.2015 against him branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the petitioner dated 14.07.2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.[Rt] No.5567, Home, Prohibition & Excise [X] Department dated 31.08.2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
