O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider his representation dated 10.08.2015, regarding the reconstruction of his service register and pay his monetary benefits.

2.Heard Mr.S.M.Subramaniam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. 3.The petitioner is working as Junior Entomologist in the office of the second respondent and subsequently, he has been diverted to Tuticorin for special duty. service benefits were not given to him from the year 2011 onwards. On enquiry, the office of the second respondent informed him that his service register was mistakenly destroyed. However, no action was taken to reconstruct the same. Therefore, the petitioner made an application under Right to Information Act on 21.01.2015 for which a reply was given by the second respondent in his proceedings dated 17.02.2015 informing him that his service register was mistakenly lost and further actions will be taken to get the particulars. As no action has been forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner has given a representation dated 10.08.2015 to the first respondent for reconstruction of his service register.

Since his representation has not been considered by the respondents, he has come forward with this present writ petition. 4.Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court finds no impediment to give a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2015 in regard to reconstruction of his service register. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
