The Petitioner has on 12.01.2024 filed this Writ Petition for directing the First to Third Respondents to take action for removal of the Sixth and Seventh Respondents, who are the Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively of Lathur Panchayat Union Council, Chengalpattu District, based on the minutes of the special meeting dated 13.10.2023 forwarded by the Fifth Respondent. 3.

It has been brought to notice that after the filing of the Writ Petition, the Government of Tamil Nadu by G.O. Ms. No. 17, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (PR-4) Department dated 31.01.2024 has removed the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Lathur Panchayat Union Council from office, and its copy has been placed on record. In view of the same, nothing remains for further consideration in the Writ Petition.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
