ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for quashing the FIR in Crime No.653 of 2014, pending investigation before the 1st respondent police. 2.When the matter came up for hearing on 03.07.2023, this Court directed the learned Government Advocate to take instructions. Accordingly, the matter was posted for hearing today.

3.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the investigation was completed and final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate-cumDistrict Munsif, Sriperumbudur on 27.01.2015 itself for offence under Sections 498(a) and 306 of IPC. It was further submitted that the final report is yet to be taken on file and that effective steps are being taken to number the same. 4.In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate-cum-District Munsif, Sriperumbudur to act upon the final report, within a period of two weeks from today. If ultimately, the Court below takes cognizance and issues summons to the petitioner and the petitioner is aggrieved by the final report, it is left open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.

5.This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
