ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to sanction (i) Special Provident Fund,(ii) Provident Fund, (iii) Arrears for Revision of Pay in the special Grade Pay at Rs.17,110/- with effect from 01.04.2011, as per proceedings of the respondent dated 28.08.2025 with interest, by considering his representation dated 11.08.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as Driver in the respondent Municipality on 01.04.1991 and retired from service on 31.03.2025, however his retirement benefits such as provident fund, special provident fund and arrears of pay with effect from 01.04.2011 were not sanctioned to him, due to which, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 11.08.2025. He further submitted that on considering the aforesaid petitioner's representation, the respondent vide proceedings dated 28.08.2025, revised his scale of pay upto 01.04.2025 but arrears of pay have not been granted with effect from 01.04,2011 along with corresponding dearness allowances. Hence, the present petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 in regard to arrears of pay and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
