ORDER

This Court, while allowing the writ petition filed by the petitioner in W.P.No.12681 of 2015, by order dated 29.11.2016, directed the respondents to exempt the petitioner from writing criminal judicial Tests Part I and II and to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion as per the available vacancy in the 3rd respondent's office and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks.

2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order dated 29.11.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.(2D).No.270, Home (Courts-VI) Department, DAted 01.09.2017, issued by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Tamil Nadu, submitted that the order passed by this Court has been duly complied with by the respondents.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed.
