ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within the time fixed by this Court in FIR No.800 of 2016 dated 30.8.2016.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that one of the employees of the company was entrusted with a sum of Rs.1,70,700/- to be deposited in the bank, however, the said employee returned back saying that a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- was lost. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint with the respondent police and the same was registered in FIR No.800 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 30.8.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in FIR No.800 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
