Respondents Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to [a] direct the first respondent to take steps to get a case registered on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 20.05.
2013 and entrust the investigation of the case by nominating an officer not below the rank of the Deputy Superintendent of Police as contemplated under Rule 7 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes [Prevention of Atrocities] Act, 1989 who shall complete the investigation within 30 days as stipulated in Rule 7 thereof and file a final report within a time frame [b] direct the first respondent to take steps to get a case registered against the second respondent herein and the third respondent-Police for the offence under Section 4 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes [Prevention of Atrocities] Act, 1989 and nominate an officer above the rank of the second respondent herein as contemplated under Rule 7 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes [Prevention of Atrocities] Act, 1989, who shall complete the investigation within 30 days as stipulated in Rule 7 thereof and file a final report within the time frame.

This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 20.05.2013 and investigate the same. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record. 3.It is represented by the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] that petition enquiry was conducted by the third respondent police and complaint was closed.
4.Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The third respondent police is directed to serve a copy of the Closure Report on the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
