ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.40583 of 2016, by order dated 23.11.2016, directed the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks. 2.Now, the present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging non-compliance of the said order dated 23.11.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent-Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board, submitted that on the representation of the petitioners, the 2nd respondent has passed an order on 14.02.2017 rejecting the claim of the petitioners. Thus, the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that the order of this Court has been duly complied with by the respondents.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in the present contempt petition. Hence, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the order passed by

the respondents in the manner known to law, if the so desire.
