Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation dated 30.08.2019 submitted by the petitioner in person pertaining to petition property comprised in Survey No.242/79 as per Patta, 242/5 & 6, Eariyur Village, Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi Nagar, Sriperumbudur Taluk, measuring an extent of 12413 Sq.ft. to pay fair and reasonable compensation to the petitioners herein.

O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This writ petition has been filed seeking to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 30.08.2019 and pass Award.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's mother purchased the property in the public auction sale conducted by the Official Assignee of the Madras High Court, on 01.02.2007, thereafter the land was acquired by the respondents in the year 2010, but no award has been passed, the petitioners made a representation to the respondents, as the said representation was not considered by the respondents, they filed the present writ petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the Award has been passed on 05.11.2020 and so far as the Survey No.242/79 is concerned, the Award has been passed in favour of Mrs.K.Radha Bai, the mother of the petitioners. On 15.02.2021, notice has been issued to the petitioners to receive the award amount.

4. Recording the above submission made by learned Special Government Pleader that the Award has already been passed, this writ petition is closed as no further adjudication is required. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
