C .M.P.No.1450 of 2019 in S.A.No.(SR).6562 of 2019 and C.M.P.No.1455 of 2019 in S.A.No.(SR).6561 of 2019 P.T. ASHA, J, The above petitions are filed for condoning the delay of 777 days in filing the Appeals.

2.A reading of the affidavit filed would show that earlier the matter was entrusted to the Counsel as soon as the Lower Court Judgment and Decree were procured and in fact, the papers were handed over to the earlier Counsel in the first week of March 2019. However, no steps appeared to have been taken by the said counsel to file the case. Thereafter, the present counsel had been entrusted with the brief and he had to prepare the file which has resulted in the delay.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit their objections.

However, sufficient reasons have been given in the affidavit filed in support of these petitions to condone the delay and the same is primarily on account of the earlier counsel not taking steps to file the appeal in time.
