Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner representation dated 09.03.2020 for grant of patta to the property comprised in S.No.464 measuring an extent of 8 acre 22 cents in K.V.Kuppam Circle, Pasumathur Village, Vellore District and to conduct due enquiry.

ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner for grant of patta.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mrs.R.Janaki, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents 1 to 3 , and makes a statement on instruction that the representation was made by the petitioner only on 19.03.2021, and it is purely two weeks after the notification (dated 02.03.2021) for the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly Election-2021 was made, and that the revenue authorities are busily engaged with the election related responsibilities. The said statement is recorded.

3. The Tahsildar, Gudiyatham Taluk / second respondent is now required to fix a date for enquiry sometime in September '2021, and upon holding an enquiry after issuing notices to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, and after providing the parties a fair and effective hearing, dispose of the matter within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of enquiry so fixed. If however the petitioner has any particular reason for seeking priority, he may approach the first respondent / District Collector, Vellore, for the same.
