This case was listed under the caption 'for dismissal' on the previous occasion i.e., on 08.03.2021 as continuously there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. On that day, when the case was called, Mr.K.Sembulingam, learned counsel for the petitioner appeared and submitted that he became Public Prosecutor in 2015 and gave Change of Vakalat to the petitioner to engage another counsel. He was therefore directed to file a memo to that effect.

2. Today also there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner and no memo has been filed to that effect. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing with the remedy in this writ petition. Under these circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. No costs.
