O R D E R

Heard Mr. K.V. Shanmugananthan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. T.S.Akash, Learned Counsel for the Second Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Petitioner, who was working as employee of the Second Respondent, had filed C.P. No. 33 of 2009 before the First Respondent seeking certain monetary benefits, which was dismissed as not maintainable by order dated 14.02.2013 and is challenged in this Writ Petition.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Second Respondent submit that after the filing of the Writ Petition, the parties have entered into a Settlement dated 21.09.2016 under Section 18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, and its copy has been produced, which shall form part and parcel of this order. It is further stated that the Petitioner has received a sum of Rs. 25,000/- in full satisfaction of the claim and a joint memo dated 21.09.2016 has been filed to that effect. It shall be incumbent upon the parties to act in accordance with that settlement arrived between them. In fine, the Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. No costs.
