The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 12.03.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for conducting election to the Tambaram Jumma Mosque.

2. Mr.V.Lakshminarayanan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the respondents to consider and decide the same. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
