Respondent Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to transfer the petitioner to Avadi Municipality or Tambaram Municipality within a stipulated time and and pass further order.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that as on date, she is working as Town Planning Officer, Grade-I in the services of the Cuddalore Municipality and despite the vacancies available in Alandhur, Avadi and Thiruvotriyur Municipalities, her request to accommodate her in those places have not been positively considered so far and therefore, she came forward to file the present writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner wold submit that the husband of the petitioner is employed in the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, Manali and their children are also studying in schools in Chennai and she is suffering due to heart problem and it is extremely difficult for her to live in Cuddalore and on account of the same, she is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

unable to look after her family and in this regard, the petitioner has submitted a series of representations and last of such representation was submitted on 13.02.2017 and in spite of receipt and acknowledgment, so far no orders have been passed and therefore, she came forward to file this writ petition. The Court heard the submission of Mr.P.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
