O R D E R
(Made by S.M. SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The judgment dated 27.03.2006 passed in W.A. No. 27 of 2006 is sought to be reviewed in this Review Application. 2.
The judgment sought to be reviewed was passed based on the consensus arrived at between the parties. Accordingly, the petitioner Bank agreed to receive a sum of Rs.1,53,648/- towards full and final settlement of its claim against the 1st respondent herein.

Learned counsel for the 1st respondent would submit that the amount agreed before this Court had already been settled. 4.
That being so, the present review application is filed based on the award passed by Lok Adalath on 24.09.2003 prior to the judgment passed in the writ appeal.

When the judgment in the writ appeal has been passed based on a compromise/consensus arrived at between the parties, the review petitioner cannot retract and claim the amount as per the award of the Lok Adalath. 2\3
That apart, re-adjudication on merits in a review proceedings is not permissible. The scope of review is very limited and cannot be extended. Further, the petitioner has not made out any ground to interfere with the judgment sought to be reviewed by exercising the powers of review. Hence, the review application stands dismissed. No costs.
