This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of his representation dated 04.05.2012, within a reasonable time. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the respondent Board, vide order bearing Ch.M.No.462/84/D dated 30.06.1987, had allotted the property situated in Plot No.21, Door No.17/11, Dr.Ambedkar Street, comprised in Survey Nos.21 & 21/Part, Block No.21, Ward No.73, near Link Road, Tamilar Nagar, Shenoy Nagar, Chennai - 30 to one Kamala, who divorced her husband Viswanathan and married the petitioner's father M.Ramasamy and they adopted the petitioner as their son. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the respondent/Board and requested to change the allotment of the said property to his name. However, the said request was not considered by the respondent/Board, which compelled the petitioner to make a representation dated 04.05.2012, which was also not considered. Hence, this writ petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 4.Considering the limited prayer made herein, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent/Board to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2012, if not considered earlier, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
