ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan, J) This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 14.07.2025 to provide all the remission marks to the petitioner's son Ramalingam S/o. Arumugam CP No.9328 from Salem Central Prison and to constitute Advisory Board to place her son's case for consideration of premature release that he entitles as per Rule No.356 of the Tamilnadu Prison Rules, 2024, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. It is seen from the records that the petitioner's son is a Convict Prisoner for the offences under Sections 341, 304 Part I read with 34 (2 counts) IPC and has been undergoing imprisonment. The petitioner has sent a representation dated 14.07.2025 to 2 / 5
the respondents seeking pre-mature release of his son and even after a period of six months, the respondents have not given any response to her representation. Therefore, she has approached this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition seeking direction to the respondents to consider her representation.
3. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
